Baby Biscuits

This week I decided to make some biscuits in the shapes of little bones and birds. I think that it is a great way of celebrating a baby shower. They are fun and easy to make.

Esta semana he decidido hacer galletas con formas de huesito y pajarito de colores pastel. Me parece una manera ideal de celebrar la llegada de un bebé. Son muy divertidas y fáciles de hacer.

With this recipe, you can make 25 to 30 biscuits. And the nice detail of the colour and the sugar is perfect. If I had not added it I don´t think they would have been as nice.

To make the dough:

- 300g flor

- 130g butther

- 70g water

- 1 tsp salt

- 50g sugar

Having mixed this porperly you have the dough, and you only have to give them the shapes you want. Then you put them in the oven for 12 min at 180º.

When we take the biscuits out, put Glass sugar and water in a bowl, and mix it until it thickens. Next we add food coloring to try to get the colour that we want. In this case: green, blue and pink. Spread it on the top of the biscuit and bake again at 100º for 8 minutes.

Con esta receta, llegan a salir unas 25- 30 galletas. Y el toque de color y el azúcar sabor dulce que le da es perfecto para la galleta. Sino creo que no hubieran salido tan ricas.

Para hacerlas necesitas en primer lugar hacer la masa:

- 300gr harina

- 130gr mantequilla

- 70gr agua

- 1 cucharada de sal

- 50gr azúcar

Con esto bien movido ya tienes la masa y tan sólo le das forma con un molde y lo metes al horno durante 12 minutos a 180º. 

Cuando sacamos las galletas del horno, añadimos en un cuenco azúcar glass y agua, y mezclándolo hasta quedar una pasta. Después añadimos el colorante mezclando los colores necesarios para conseguir el color que queramos. En este caso verde, azul y rosa. Untar la pasta por encima de la galleta y horneamos de nuevo a 100º durante 8 minutos.
